  • Venture Fundraising Drops to Lowest Level in Nine Years. Venture capital firms raised $20.6 billion in new funds in the fourth quarter, representing a 65% drop* compared to the same period in the previous year. This amount also marks the lowest fourth-quarter fundraising level since 2013. Additionally, fundraising volumes decreased for the first time from the third to the fourth quarter since 2009.
